Plants go to Hood River

We moved the garden up to the Gorge for the summer from its starter home in the Willamette Valley. So far so good. The plants seems to be happy and after a lot of tilling, digging, planting, and watering, we are beginning to see signs of a harvest in the future! My tomatoes are looking like they might be ready to pick soon as are the peppers.

Tomato and Pepper plants loving the warm summer sun!

Two beds with a collection of corn, butternut squash, delicata squash, watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumber, collards, broccoli, eggplant, cauliflower, pole beans, carrots, and lots of weeds starting to poke up in between!
We marked the rows so we wouldn't mistake the little guys for the weeds which will be rearing their ugly heads in a few days.

One happy camper!

Lauren and Nick have their work cut out for them if all the plants produce. I believe they will have enough to open their own vegetable outlet! I am personally hoping to reap some benefits of several hours work getting it prepped with them in mid June. It is a fantastic spot that just needs some TLC to be a wonderful garden.
Good luck you two!
