I turned 25 on a beautiful Oregon Saturday. After sleeping in and enjoying a yummy breakfast of fresh Oregon strawberries, Nick and I went to the Eugene Saturday Market to enjoy Toby's Tofu Tia burritos...one of my favorite foods in the whole world. Then we headed to Rogue brewery to get my free birthday beer and merchandise (got a new hat) and then to the Sustain-a-Ball; the Prom for Nick's program. The day before we had made costumes from reusable materials found at MECCA in Eugene. I found a book of fabric scraps that I sewed together to make this skirt. It turned out really well and it was my first sewing attempt since making a stuffed flower in Home-Ec in middle school. I was impressed and may actually wear it again. I can't quite believe I'm 25 but it feels good to be in a new age bracket and spend the day celebrating being alive!
