Doodleromp

From the moment we brought Barlow home, Nick has dreamed of hosting a Doodleromp at our house. What is a Doodleromp you ask? Well, Doodleromps happen in cities around the nation--events where Doodle owners bring their pups and everybody runs and plays and has a grand old time. The photos below are from our first two Doodleromps...yep two! It seems we have a new Sunday evening tradition. :-)

Only the coolest "Doods" show up in a side-car. This is Baxter and his owner pulling up to the Ranch in their camo machine.

Barlow and brother Diego share the biggest stick they can find and romp around the yard taking everyone out at the knees.

Barlow and sister Sophie nibbling on each others' ears and telling secrets. Yes, Sophie is from the same litter! She is a straight-coat apricot doodle and Barlow is a curly-coat tan doodle. There is a lot of variation in those Punnet squares.
All the kiddos about face.

Uncle Bax shows the crew the ropes.

Sophie gives the "Doggles" a try while posing in the side car.

Mamma Freida, with brother Gus nuzzling her, brother Cooper and Barlow having boy-time with Ma.

Five of the Six Freida puppies made it out for this romp; they had a blast and we had just as much fun watching them romp! Ruby in the background is a Barlow look-alike. Barlow plays with Cooper and Sophie and Gus chase one another's tails.

Gus catches some major air while the pups go nuts!

This week's romp was a Dessert and Doodle theme. We had delicious treats from all the Doodle parents.

My contribution to the dessert smorgasbord was angel food cake with fresh strawberries and blueberries ala Red,White, and Blue. Happy Fourth of July everyone!
