Pun intended...the worker-bees in HR have finally broken ground on our house and we are pleased to share photos of the progress! The first few are from earlier this summer looking at the property and then some from this week following the first stages of excavation! Woo-hoo!

Looking at the shed which has been on the receiving end of some effort so far this year...more to come on that! Thanks to our parents for hours of labor put into creating some storage space for us!

This will be the driveway...as seen below in the new progress:
The utilities will be trenched in below the driveway. We are lucky enough to be a part of the Crystal Springs Water District, so we get really high quality water from a glacier on nearby Mt. Hood piped right into our house.

The picture above is taken from the parking area of the driveway. As you can see, the piles of garbage magically disappeared. Also, the excavators did an awesome job of pulling the elevation of the house up just enough to really ensure that we are out of harm's way of any flooding on Neal Creek.

The poor shed needs work. We've decided that any overnight guests must work-off their stay by helping to prep a window on the shed or pound some nails!

EXCITING!!! I'm so happy for this progess to be well underway. My favorite part is the garden and how I seem to benefit from the fruits of that labor :)
I'm looking forward to spring/summer when I have some weekends to come over and help!!
LOVE YOU
