My Second Season

This is my second autumn in the Gorge and of all the seasons I think it is my favorite. As cliche' as it sounds, the colors are just fantastic. Luckily I've gotten in some amazing hikes while studying for the upcoming GRE I will take November 10th. Studying every night after work is a pretty quick way to ruin any chance of fun...but only a few more days of that nonsense and I can be done with the GRE FOREVER. Attempting to re-myelinate brain circuitry that hasn't been in place since middle school has been quite the task. Most of what I remember is that I hated fractions back then and still do. Pursuing a Masters in Public Health doesn't seem to necessitate a firm grasp of algebra and figures, nor analogies and fill in the blank. Standardized tests are extremely aggravating as they convey no sense of what a person can know...only what they remember from middle school math or how much of their precious life they sunk into cramming in the months preceeding the exam. Ugh. Well, here are some great images of fall so far...all the leaves are mostly gone now so hopefully we'll get some snow here soon so I can take advantage of my pass to Mt. Hood Meadows and the new snow board boots I scored off gorge.net.

Your blog! Fun! March to November, that's a lot of life not captured in cyber script. Nice photos, roommate Fein. You'll be the star of the GRE!

I look forward to personally hearing about your adventures but do enjoy the pictures and seeing you and your friends having a great time. It is truly one of God's great places on Earth to explore. I agree with Becca that you need to post more often!
Love you!! M
